Stephen is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company and was appointed to this position in July 2011.
Previously, Stephen was appointed as the Group Senior Management Accountant of Waco in 1996 and was promoted to the position of Group Financial Director in 1997.
Prior to joining Waco, Stephen was employed by the Gentyre Group, then a subsidiary of Waco, from 1990 to 1996, where he held a number of senior positions.
Stephen had a significant role in the management of Waco during and after the leveraged buyouts in 2000 and 2012, and gained significant international experience through the management of these processes.
Dharishan was appointed the Chief Financial Officer for the Group in 2021. Since joining the Group in 2011 he has held a number of senior financial management positions including Corporate Financial Manager, Financial Manager and Group Accountant.
His expertise extends through financial accounting, taxation and corporate finance, with an aptitude for information technology, strategic development and execution.
Prior to joining Waco International Dharishan was with KPMG.
Greg is the Group Human Resources Executive, a position he has held since 2003. Prior to joining Waco in 2003, Greg was employed by Afrox Limited from 1989 to 2003, where he held a number of senior positions. Greg was previously employed in the Gold Division of Anglo American Limited from 1982 to 1989.
Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of Waco Kwikform, a position he has held since 1 June 2021. Before that he was the CEO of Waco Africa for 11 years. Michael started his career at Lane Dove Quantity Surveyors in Cape Town.
During the 1990s, Michael started Kerr Projects (Proprietary) Limited, a business specialising in commercial construction and development. After selling this business, he formed a construction company, Flagprop (Proprietary) Limited, which he ran until his appointment with Waco Africa
Robert is the managing director of Sanitech, a position he has held since 2009. Robert joined Sanitech in 2008 as Business Development director.
He was previously employed at Hilti South Africa (Proprietary) Limited where in his 14 years of service he held various executive sales and marketing positions.
After Waco’s acquisition of Sanitech, Robert was employed to transform the Sanitech brand to meet the Group’s standards.
Alistair is the Managing Director of SkyJacks, a position he has held since May 2015. Alistair joined SGB-Cape in 2006 and held a number of senior positions including Branch manager (Zambia) and Regional Manager (Africa Operations) before his appointment as a Divisional Director of SGB-Cape in 2012.
Alistair started his career at Goldstein Civils in Johannesburg in 1987 working on large civil engineering projects and has over 30 years’ experience in civil engineering, industrial services and equipment rental industries servicing the mining, power generation, process, oil & gas and construction sectors.
Alistair has worked extensively in Africa.
Gerhard is the Managing Director of Waco Modular. He was appointed to this position in October 2023 subsequent to forming part of the Waco Group for 9 years. Gerhard joined Sanitech in 2014 where he held the position of Director of Environmental Services. He was promoted to Regional Director for the Mining Region in 2019.
Prior to joining Waco in 2014, from 2009 to 2014, he was the Head: Experimental Facilities at Rand Water during which time he was a member of the Water Institute of South Africa. From 1989 to 2009, Gerhard was employed at Arcelor Mittal where he held several Managerial and Technical positions. During his time at Archelor Mittal, he specialised in Continuous Improvement and Process Optimisation in the Laboratory and Production environments.
Klaas became Managing Director of Form-Scaff in July 2021 after 27 years in the organization.
Initial roles included Branch Manager of Polokwane, Johannesburg and Durban and Regional Manager in the KZN and Inland areas. From 2005 onwards, his responsibility was that of Business Development, Product Development and Marketing.
The last 10 years was spent in Africa setting up successful green field businesses – 13 branches in 9 different African countries - for the organization.
Prior to Form-Scaff, he worked 4 years for Ninham Shand (Aurecon today) – a Civil Engineering Consulting Firm in Pretoria.
Ben is responsible for SGB-Cape’s businesses across South Africa and neighbouring countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
His portfolio covers a total of 18 branches undertaking the most prestigious industrial services projects on the continent with 4,500 staff, over 30,000 tons of scaffolding, innovative fireproofing and coating solutions and world-class insulation workshops.
He joined the Waco Group in 2019 as their Africa Director having over 20-years experience as a Civil Engineer in the Construction, Industrial and Contracting industries in South Africa, the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Waco, Ben has held Executive positions of Managing Director and Divisional Director in opposition companies across Africa for the past 11 years.
Otto heads up Waco Engineering Services. He has more than 23 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, covering construction, temporary works design and management. He specializes in temporary works and structural design, as well as construction methodology and value engineering.
Otto is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and the Engineering Registration Board of Botswana. He is a registered Temporary Works Designer with the Institute for Work at Height’s Professional Body.
Otto has a B Eng Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering and is a Member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering.
He is on the Advisory Board of the University of Pretoria’s Department of Civil Engineering.
