The Waco International board of directors is responsible for the oversight of the risk, compliance and assurance practices and contributes to the effective functioning of the Group by holding management to account on the responsible delivery of the Group’s strategy. Having operated as a listed entity until 2000, many of the requisite governance structures and practices of a public listed group have largely been retained. The board is composed of a non-executive chairman, six non-executive directors and two executive directors. The risk and controls committee is chaired by an independent non-executive director.

Business ethics are an essential component of Waco International’s ethos. A code of conduct for the Group was developed in order to articulate the behaviours and practices which are required for the business to function ethically and sustainably, and every employee is required to sign acceptance of the Code.
